ICC Australia Board and Governance

ICC Australia is the Australian arm of the International Chamber of Commerce, which is based in Paris, France. ICC Australia was the eleventh national committee established, in 1927.

ICC Australia is registered as a public company limited by guarantee and its objectives include the promotion of:

  • Australians and Australian business;
  • Global prosperity and peace among the nations of the world by the development of an open world economy;
  • International competition, trade, services and investment, especially by eliminating obstacles and distortions to international commerce; and
  • The principles of free and fair competition among business enterprises and the participation of Australian businesses enterprises in a world market economy

The affairs of ICC Australia are overseen by a Board of Directors, with day to day management the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer.


Richard Holyman


Richard was appointed as Chairman of ICC Australia in November 2013.

Owner and CEO of Martin & Pleasance Pty Ltd, a Melbourne based manufacturer, importer and exporter of natural medicines, Richard's skills and experience have been acquired over more than 30 years of growing successful business outcomes.

A successful Chief Executive with a global outlook and perspective, Richard has particular knowledge of the health and wellbeing products industry.

As both a local manufacturer and importer, he understands the challenges that excessive regulation poses for business!  He also has firsthand experience at opening up export markets for Australian products and the policies required to support Australian business to expand into global markets.

Mr Clark has previously worked for a wide range of agricultural industry representative bodies along with experience in private industry and consulting, particularly in the fields of industry development and capacity building, natural resource management and regional food industry promotion.

Mr Clark also provides a link to the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) of which he is Director of Trade and International Affairs.
